María Mauti

Maria Mauti, born in Milan in 1974, is an Italian documentary director. She began in 2003 with productions on music, opera and dance for Sky’s Classica HD platform. As a director and author she has directed films on Daniel Barenboim, Carolyn Carlson, Pina Bausch, Bill T. Jones, Alicia Alonso of the National Ballet of Cuba, Meredith Monk and many others. Her previous feature film, “L’Amatore”, explores the life of Italian architect Piero Portaluppi. The film premiered at the LOCARNO Film Festival and has been screened at international festivals. She is a professor at the Estab and Elisava Universities of Barcelona and is carrying out a project with the actress Giulia Lazzarini
