Julien Elie

In 2018 Elie directed the film Dark Suns. The epic journey into the heart of the wave of violence that is hitting Mexico has won a dozen awards (CPH:DOX, BAFICI, Hamburg film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, etc.) and been presented at numerous festivals around the world. La Garde Blanche, released in 2023, is his second feature film shot in Mexico. In 2025 Elie´s third feature “Shifting Baselines” started at Visions du Reel.
