Davide Maffei
Davide Maffei (Sassuolo 1982), is a documentary filmmaker based in Modena (Italy). His 2013 debut documentary, Villaggio Eni. A Pleasant Sojourn in the Future, which was screened at numerous festivals.
His second feature-length documentary, “La Fabbrica Blu” (2016), explores the industrial history of Bugatti Automobili, participating in international festivals and distributed on various online platforms.
Since 2018, Maffei has focused on the “Olivetti” project, resulting in two documentaries: “Paradigma Olivetti” and “Prospettiva Olivetti”, both premiered at the Milano Design Film Festival. In 2022, he presented his last work, “Alfabeto Mangiarotti”, focused on the work of one of the most important Italian designers of the twentieth century.
As a founding member and secretary of the Edoardo Gellner Architect Association since 2015, Maffei also produces videos promoting Gellner’s architectural legacy and alpine culture.
