
Wijnand Galema is an independent architectural historian and researches the history of architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture. The built environment of the 20th century, especially that of the post-war period, is the focus of his work. He works on cultural-historical explorations and advice for a variety of clients. He also publishes regularly on various themes in architectural history, is a guest speaker and works on cultural projects related to his field. Galema is initiator of the Network Post ’65 Rotterdam, which aims to raise awareness of the heritage of this period. Finally, he is a member of advisory committees on spatial quality in The Hague and Utrecht, among others.
