
Meta van Drunen is co-owner of Nieuwe Bodem. With five others, she is testing agroforestry, a form of regenerative agriculture, on a pilot plot of 2 hectares. Meta studied architecture in Delft, Chicago and New York, started at an architectural firm in The Hague and set up the Hungarian branch in Budapest. With Eurodite, she worked on urban and regional development assignments in Romania and Eastern Europe. In Bucharest, the transformation of an old factory into a cultural hub brings together her love of pioneering, transformation and (cultural) programming. With Linkeroever, she works in the Netherlands on (re)zoning assignments. To give buildings and areas meaning and (new) energy, based on the strength of an area and future-oriented. For the development of Almeerderstrand, she was area director and director of cultural outdoor incubator StrandLAB Almere and co-initiator of Flevolab.
