AFFR History

The Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam (AFFR) was established in 2000, and the foundation organized its festival the same year as the first architecture film festival in the world. Festivals also took place again in 2001 and 2003. In 2007 AFFR made a fresh start after a few years of silence. In 2009 the event expanded significantly in terms of visitor numbers and programming.

Małgorzata Bos-Karczewska

Małgorzata Bos-Karczewska is an independent expert on EU-labour migration in the Netherlands, advising Dutch governmental bodies, municipalities and companies on issues arising from putting EU-citizens to work in labour intensive sectors. She started to follow this issue as a journalist already in 2007. She is editor-in-chief of the website Polonia.nl for Poles in The Netherlands. Malgorzata was born in Gdansk (Poland) and studied economics in Amsterdam (UvA). For many years she has been analysing or commenting major events in Poland in Dutch media and events in The Netherlands to Polish media outlets.
