AFFR Opening Night:
Charlotte’s Castle

On Wednesday 9 October, AFFR 2024 opens at Theater Rotterdam/Schouwburg, with the documentary Charlotte’s Castle (Jamie Kastner, 2022), a dryly comical documentary about housing, redevelopment, activism, and fishbone parquets. The setting is Toronto, but there’s a Dutch twist to this story.

Harm Tilman

Harm Tilman (Rotterdam 1954) is an urban designer (TU Delft), coordinator of Urban Planning at the Academy of Architecture Rotterdam, and until 2021 acted as editor-in-chief of De Architect .
He has lectured at numerous institutions and schools at home and abroad, is responsible for many publications in the field of modern architecture and spatial planning, and for an independent and irregularly published architecture blog, VivaArchitectuur.nl
