
Asya Zolnikova (1992), born and raised in Moscow, lives in Vilnius. She studied theory and history of art at the Surikov Moscow Art Institute. Her thesis was on the expressiveness of natural light in Alvar Aalto’s architecture. Since 2017 she has worked as an architecture journalist. In 2020 she became an author of Meduza, the independent Russian media platform based in Riga. In 2021 she was appointed curator of the educational programme ‘Acquaintance with modern architecture’ at the Moscow Architectural School MARCH.
