In India, Jord spoke to architect, filmmaker and Mumbai expert Rohan Shivkumar. The plan is to compile with him the film programme ‘Mumbai Plays Itself’, consisting of clips from Bollywood films, which offer an inspiring and revealing portrait of the city that produces more films than any other in the world.
Jord also spoke to the granddaughter of Balkrishna Doshi, he passed away this year, about the new documentary that looks at his work. Khushnu Panthaki Hoof spent many years working as an architect with her grandfather and compiled the exhibition about him that is currently travelling around Europe. Jord also visited the architecture faculty at CEPT University in Ahmedabad, founded by Doshi, to meet architect and associate professor Sachin Soni.
The contours of the programme are gradually becoming visible, so keep an eye on our socials or sign up for our newsletter.
