Berlage Zaal, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft
Thursday 13 June sees the closing event of the itinerant film club and research project ‘Reporting the Delta’. The club investigates the natural, social and spatial transitions of the Netherlands before and after the construction of the Delta Works by means of documentaries.
The documentaries highlight the act of reporting through film, a powerful medium for capturing reality at the interaction of people, places and technology. The programme includes two films by Jord de Hollander:
Stroom, collage van het collectieve geheugen (2005)
A film about the changing river landscape at Nijmegen based on hundreds of archive films.
De Rijn van Lobith tot aan Zee (2007)
A remake of the celebrated Rijn film by Iep Ochse from 1922. De Rijn van Lobith tot aan Zee, which was coproduced by AFFR, dates from 2007 but is still as relevant as ever in the context of climate transition. Want to find out more about this film?
