Around the world with a block of stone:<br>A Marble Travelogue, Today 19:15

Blocks of white marble from a Greek quarry are shipped to China, where sculptors turn them into Hellenistic-style statues and columns. The leftover grit is processed into fridge magnets and other souvenirs, which are returned to Europe and sold to Chinese tourists. From the mining of raw materials to manufacturing and retail, this documentary offers a humorous look at the odyssey of the marble route between Europe and China.
