About the film
Rebuilding, Max Walker-Silverman
Dutch premiere | 2025 | USA | 96′
Rebuilding begins in the immediate aftermath of introverted cowboy Dusty (Josh O’Connor) witnessing his family ranch consumed by wildfires. A small trailer park, home to fellow survivors, becomes his new place of residence. Alongside his daughter, ex-partner and newly formed community, Dusty seeks to redefine his sense of purpose. In his second portrait of the American West, director Walker-Silverman finds hope, solidarity and human connection in the face of nature’s ferocity.
