The eleventh AFFR takes place from 9 to 13 October 2019. After the opening film, the festival moves to LanterenVenster cinema. This year the AFFR will again welcome dozens of international filmmakers and an expected 7500 fans of films, city and architecture from all over the world.

AFFR History

The Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam (AFFR) was established in 2000, and the foundation organized its festival the same year as the first architecture film festival in the world. Festivals also took place again in 2001 and 2003. In 2007 AFFR made a fresh start after a few years of silence. In 2009 the event expanded significantly in terms of visitor numbers and programming.

King Kong business club

The King Kong Business Club is the AFFR networking programme. Businesses and entrepreneurs from the construction and property sectors link their names with the Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam and lend their support to the festival in terms funding, relations and content.

King Kong business club

Each year AFFR organizes an exclusive film and networking evening specially for members of the King Kong Business Club and their relations. Members can invite guests to this King Kong business event. Each member can host guests at a table for eight. The next King Kong business event takes place at NHOW Rotterdam on Wednesday 2 October during AFFR 2018.
