Public transport

Metro: Line D & E to metro station Wilhelminaplein.
Tram: Lines 12, 23, 25 and 125: Wilhelminaplein stop.
From Wilhelminaplein it is a 5-minute walk to LantarenVenster

Paid public street parking

09:00 – 23:00 Monday to Saturday
12:00 – 23:00 Sunday
The costs are € 3,00 per hour. The payment machines accept 06-parking, credit card or debit card.
NB: public street parking spaces on the Wilheminapier are extremely limited.

Paid car parks

The Q-Park De Rotterdam and Q-Park Boston–Seattle car parks are a three-minute walk from LantarenVenster.

Parking with a discount in the Q-Park De Rotterdam parking garage

LantarenVenster guests reserve their parking space online at a discounted rate at the Q-Park De Rotterdam parking garage and are assured of a space.
The following applies all evenings: € 12.85 for a whole evening of parking between 17:00 and 00:00.
During the weekend: €16.00 for 4-hour (consecutive) or €22.00 for 6-hour (consecutive) parking (can be used for 24 hours).

Park + Ride, an affordable alternative

You can park cheaply at a P + R place and continue your journey by public transport. Check which P + R place is on your route.

Bicycle parking

There is no guarded bicycle shed on the Wilhelminapier. However, there are enough stands on the pier – and in front of LantarenVenster – to attach your bicycle to.

Water taxi

The stops on the Wilhelminapier are:

  • Hotel New York Wilhelminapier
  • Luxor Wilhelminaplein

Access for people with disabilities

The entire LantarenVenster building is accessible for people in wheelchairs or with other disabilities.

All cinemas are accessible for visitors in wheelchairs or with other disabilities. The entrance for room 1 and room 2 is on the ground floor, the lift to reach rooms 3, 4, 5 and 6 is in the hallway behind the disabled toilet. Three places are always reserved for wheelchairs in the cinemas, these places are located in the front row of the auditorium. To make your visit as pleasant as possible, it is best to send an email to kassa@lantarenvenster.nl stating the date, time and the film or performance you want to visit.

Wheelchair availability

You can reserve a wheelchair at the LantarenVenster box office in advance of your visit. Mail to kassa@lantarenvenster.nl stating the date and time of the visit.

The entrance to LantarenVenster is located approximately 500 meters from the Wilhelminaplein metro station.

Parking for people with disabilities

There are a few parking spaces available on the Wilhelminapier for holders of a European disabled parking card:

  • eight general disability parking spaces on Otto Reuchlinweg, near Prinsendam (rear of Nieuwe Luxor)
  • a general disability parking place on Otto Reuchlinweg, near Westerdam
  • two general disability parking places on the Wilhelminakade near Hotel New York / Wold Port Center
