Wrinkles

Using the wrinkle as a metaphor for the visible traces of the passage of time on both people and buildings, this poetic short by Daisy Ziyan Zhang zooms in on a building in the centre of Mexico that has been lived in, destroyed by an earthquake, abandoned and restored for over 70 years. By using technology and sharp observations of otherwise unaccounted details of everyday life, the film proposes new ways to understand architectural authorship, based on the continuous acts of care.
