Although construction started in 1386, it wasn’t until 1965 that the famous Duomo in Milan was officially completed. Featuring stunning images yet no dialogue, The Never Ending Factory of the Duomo examines the construction of one of the world’s largest cathedrals. Audio fragments make fascinating anecdotes sound like echoes from the past. The result is a meditative experience perfectly in sync with a project that would last six centuries. With their film, Massimo D’Anolfi and Martina Parenti have created an ode to craftsmanship and human perseverance. Sacral architecture has never been captured so beautifully.
