Shelter Without Shelter

Shelter Without Shelter

Filmed over a period of five years, Shelter Without Shelter is a thorough investigation into the challenges facing the ever-growing need for temporary refugee housing. Filmmakers Mark Breeze and Tom Scott-Smith explore how people escaping the turmoil in Syria were housed in the Middle East and Europe. Providing an overview of the myriad forms of shelter the refugees encountered – from illegal settlements to enormous architect-designed reception centres – the documentary reveals the challenges shaping this enormous societal and architectural challenge. An informative primer on an issue that is more urgent than ever.
