The structural engineer Leslie Robertson is the man behind numerous world-famous buildings. But one of those structures remains a dark page in his career: the World Trade Center. Would another structure have prevented its collapse? Leaning Out follows his work as an activist and pacifist, as well as his contribution to the most important skyscrapers of the past century. Basia and Leonard Myszynski’s film is both a manifesto for progressive engineering techniques and personal responsibility, both of which have to weather the storm.
