Pedro Gil Farias
Pedro Gil Farias is a Portuguese media artist and design researcher working in-between the digital and built environment, with a focus on informal, DIY, subversive and participatory ways of making the city.
In his practice he tends to use pre-existing media (images, video, audio, 3D scans etc.) and remix it across different formats. His work ranges from autonomous media art projects (installations, workshops, film, etc.) reflecting on current urban issues, to design research on how people relate to their urban environment and participatory approaches for designing cities with those that inhabit them.
Pedro’s work has been published in the Participatory Design Conference (PDC22) and exhibited in venues such as Zagreb Contemporary Art Museum (MSU), WIP Festival and V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media.
