Hugo Pilate
Hugo Pilate is a French multidisciplinary artist and designer whose practice encompasses digital media, interactive installations, and speculative design. He explores the intersections of technology, culture, and urbanism, creating works that invite audiences to engage critically with contemporary societal issues.
Much of his work consists of providing the necessary structure for diverse groups of individuals to collaborate by formulating a shared vision, defining its guiding values and principles or planning out how to best bring it to life from research to prototype, to pilot.
Over the past ten years Hugo has developed this practice at the intersection of design fiction, city-making, gamer culture and maker culture, greatly drawing from work of practicioners like Sara Hendren, Nicolas Nova, Taeyoon Choi, Jose Sanchez.
