About the film
Each apartment contains a different life, as we see in this dilapidated apartment complex in Estonia. The camera moves from room to room, each with the same shape but a completely different interior. Sound is what connects them, whether it is a barking dog or a tune on a trumpet. In this way, Carl Olsson has created a dryly comic portrait of togetherness and loneliness, in which everyone is separated only by a thin wall.
