About the film
Adolf Loos advocated his Raumplan, Le Corbusier his plan libre. The Austrian-American architect Rudolf Schindler combined both into a unique style in which everything revolved around the experience of space: Space Architecture. As a student, Schindler was taught by, among others, Otto Wagner and Adolf Loos. He became friends with fellow student Richard Neutra, while both rose to fame with their designs for Californian houses. While Neutra gained international recognition, Schindler remained underappreciated for a long time – there was no place for his free spirit in the International Style.
