In Rotterdam Rave Culture ‘30 Years of Heritage’, sound designer Dennis van Rijswijk and club culture journalist Holly Dicker explore thirty years of Rotterdam nightlife, from the rise of gabber in the 1990s to the post-pandemic landscape. With archive footage from legendary clubs, studios and record stores, and interviews with DJs, party organizers and ravers, the film documents a subculture that once defined a generation – and reflects on what is now missing from the night. Screening part of AFFR x Weelde – Architects of the After Hours.
