Where can I purchase tickets?
Online on AFFR
The easiest way to buy tickets is online on the AFFR website – that way, you won’t miss out and you’ll avoid the crowds at the box office. You can pay online with iDEAL, PayPal or Credit Card, tickets are available up to one hour before the start of the screening. After your payment, you will receive an email with your e-ticket, which you must show at the venue – either by using a print-out or by displaying the ticket on your phone.
NB: do you have a Cinevillepas or LV-strippenkaart? Then please purchase your tickets for AFFR on the website of LantarenVenster; our full programme can also be found there.
At the LantarenVenster box office
Tickets are also available at the box office at LantarenVenster, which is open every festival day from 11:30 a.m. until 15 minutes after the start of the last film. Payments can only be made by debit card. The box office may be crowded during the festival, so we recommend purchasing your tickets online.
Cinevillepas or LV-strippenkaart?
The Cinevillepas and LV -strippenkaart are valid for all AFFR screenings except the Opening Night and the Architectenweb Best of AFFR. Tickets can be purchased on the LantarenVenster website.

How do I reach LantarenVenster?
Public transport
LantarenVenster is located within walking distance of the Wilhelminaplein public transport stop. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the theatre.
Bicycle
There are no supervised bicycle parking facilities on the Wilhelminapier. However, there are plenty of bike stands on the entire pier – and in front of LantarenVenster – where you can secure your bicycle.
Watertaxi
There are several Watertaxi embarkation points on the Wilhelminapier, of which Hotel New York is the closest.
Car
There are various parking options around LantarenVenster.
Paid parking on Katendrecht
09:00 – 23:00 Monday to Saturday
12:00 – 23:00 Sunday
The parking fees on Katendrecht (walking distance) are €2.76 per hour. Payment machines accept credit cards and debit cards.
Car parks
Three minutes’ walk from LantarenVenster, you will find the car parks Q-Park De Rotterdam and Q-Park Boston–Seattle.
Discounted parking in the Q-Park De Rotterdam
Guests of LantarenVenster can reserve a parking space in Q-Park De Rotterdam online at a discounted rate and with the guarantee of a parking space.
The following rates apply during weekdays: €12.85 for parking between 5 p.m. and midnight.
During weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 24 hours), the rate is €16.00 for 4 hours or €22.00 for 6 hours of consecutive parking.
How do I reach Theater Rotterdam?
Public Transport
Theater Rotterdam is within walking distance of Rotterdam Central Station. From there, it is a 5-10 minute walk to Schouwburgplein 25.
Bicycle
There are no supervised bicycle parking facilities on Schouwburgplein. However, there are plenty of bike stands on the square and in front of Theater Rotterdam where you can secure your bicycle.
Car
You can park your car in the Schouwburgplein car park. There are two entrances:
– use the entrance on Schouwburgplein (in front of the theatre)
– or enter via the “Rotterdam Centraal parking cluster” (entrance via the Weena tunnel in front of the Central Station).
We advise users of a navigation system to enter Mauritsstraat 1 or Schouwburgplein 25 as their destination. The navigation system will take you to the entrance of the Schouwburgplein car park.
How do I reach Nieuwe Instituut?
Nieuwe Instituut is located in the centre of Rotterdam, an approximately 15-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station. The museum is part of the Museumpark and is located opposite Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. The entrance to Nieuwe Instituut is on the Museumpark side. The entrance on Rochussenstraat (via the Arcade) is temporarily closed.
Public Transport
Nieuwe Instituut can be reached by public transport via the metro (Eendrachtsplein stop), tram 7 (Eendrachtsplein or Museumpark stop), tram 4 (Eendrachtsplein stop), bus 44 (Wytemaweg stop) and bus 32 (Breitnerstraat stop).
Auto
