Accessibility AFFR
AFFR wants to be a welcoming and safe place for everyone. This is why we believe it is important that our partner theatres are accessible to mobility-impaired persons and people with other disabilities.
Accesibility Lantarenvenster
Access for wheelchair users/people with mobility impairments
LantarenVenster is accessible to people in wheelchairs and with other mobility impairments.
All cinema rooms are accessible to disabled visitors. The entrances to rooms 1 and 2 are on the ground floor, and the lift to rooms 3, 4, 5 and 6 is located in the corridor (on the water side) behind the disabled toilet. In the cinema rooms, three seats are always reserved for wheelchairs. These seats are located at the front of the room in the first row. To make your visit as pleasant as possible, please send an email to info@lantarenvenster.nl stating the date, time and film or performance you wish to attend.
Wheelchair available
You can reserve a wheelchair prior to your visit, at the LV ticket office. Please send an email to kassa@lantarenvenster.nl stating the date and time of your visit.

Parking for people with a disability
There are parking spaces for people with disabilities on Karel Doormanstraat. You can find more information about the parking spaces around the TR on the website of the Gemeente Rotterdam
Accesibility Nieuwe Instituut
Access for wheelchair users/people with mobility impairments
Nieuwe Instituut is fully accessible with wheelchairs, walkers, and mobility scooters. All exhibition rooms and the Research Centre are accessible by lift and ramp. Nieuwe Instituut has a wheelchair available for visitors with a disability. Unfortunately, due to its original, historic layout, the Sonneveld House museum is not accessible with prams or wheelchairs.
Assistance dogs
The New Institute is accessible with an assistance, care or guide dog that is supervised by its owner.
Trigger-free space
Depending on the current exhibition programme, visitors to the Nieuwe Instituut can sometimes be confronted with large amounts of information in texts and images, accompanied by lights, sounds, vivid images and smells. Visitors can ask our hospitality team members for an up-to-date estimation of potential triggers.
Parking for people with a disability
Nieuwe Instituut has a disabled parking space. You can also consult the City of Rotterdam website for an overview of parking locations reserved for wheelchair users.
