On the Stage: Playing with Ruins
One of this years Stages - our annual programme lines - is Playing with Ruins, which brings together films that engage with architecture in various states of decay, transition or reclamation.

On the Stage: Villain Strategies
In 2025, AFFR again zooms in on urgent spatial questions through three carefully curated program lines, each offering a unique perspective on architecture. In Villain Strategies, the relationship between architecture and power takes centre stage.

Recap Sunday 12 October
On the final day of AFFR 2025 at LantarenVenster, we traditionally programmed the four best films of the festival together with Architectenweb, explored the past of the future with Archined x AFFR Urgent Classics, and presented our jury prize, the King Kong Award, for the first time.

Recap Saturday 11 October
On day four of the festival, we travelled to Italy with Vista Mare and Ripley during the second Masters with David Gropman. Once again, we had a sold-out venue for The Great Arch and, of course, the kick-off of our 25-hour marathon with AFFR x Weelde - Architects of the After Hours.

Recap Friday 10 October
On day three of AFFR, we welcomed speakers on materials, the climate and our home town Rotterdam, had a full house for our special with De Architect, and welcomed Turner Prize winner Elisabeth Price as the first of our Masters.

All you need to know about the Festival Pass
Especially for the die-hard AFFR fans, there's the annual AFFR Festival Pass. With this pass, you get access to all the films and specials at AFFR 2025, including the Opening Night. For just €85.00, you can choose from nearly 80 films, specials, and lectures. You can easily reserve a ticket for each film via your online account.

Your Cinevillepass is valid at AFFR
The Cinevillepass is valid for all AFFR screenings except the Opening Night and the Architectenweb Best of AFFR. Tickets can be purchased on the LantarenVenster website, where you can also find our full programme.

Visit AFFR with your We Are Public pass
For the third time in a row, AFFR is collaborating with We Are Public. With your pass, you can attend a special selection of films from our programme, handpicked by our film editor Inez de Coo. Tickets can be reserved via the We Are Public website.
