This science fiction musical is too crazy for words: the film is like a worn out VJ who mixes a love affair, aliens, a journey in time, a courtroom drama and a race against the clock in a musical comedy. In the hypothetical future, pills have replaced food, numbers have replaced names and government-arranged marriages have replaced love. Look in vain for a naked Jane Fonda or a singing James Gandolfini, the film dates back to 1930. The film is of particular interest to film freaks because the futuristic sets used closely
resemble Fritz Lang's Metropolis. -- 35 mm under restriction - English spoken/sung--
